What is PMCA?

The PHO has implemented the use of the Pediatric Medical Complexity Algorithm (PMCA) as a way of identifying patients for inclusion in the chronic care registry database for each Primary Care Practice in the PHO.  The PMCA model uses hospital claims data from CCHMC to stratify the population into three segments – L3 Complex Chronic Disease, L2 Non-Complex Disease, and No Chronic Disease.
